Well, most of them are stars, and they are shooting by, so . . . :-)

This one speaks to me for a couple reasons. First, that sign looks like it belongs in a different time – a simpler one before iPhones and Twitter. Second, the reminder is needed. Slow down. We do more now than ever before. We forget to just be. That sign isn’t going anywhere even as the stars look like they’re zipping by. It makes me think of meditation – stillness in the midst of chaos.

We recently moved to a new home, and the first thing we hung on the wall was the print of Slow Down we purchased from John nearly a decade ago. It’s as intriguing and eye catching as ever. I still love the juxtaposition of the sign’s message and the speed with which the universe is continually passing by. My only regret is that we didn’t buy it in a larger size.
